MICDA Inc is a community based organisation which seeks volunteers from within the local community to assist manage and support the organisation. Volunteers can apply to become part of the Management Committee, the Advisory Committees, or as a General Volunteer. All volunteers are required to become financial members of MICDA Inc so that they are covered by volunteer insurance ($5.00 annually).
The Management Committee provides strategic direction and are responsible for the overall financial management of the organisation. Management Committee meetings take place monthly at the MICDA Inc offices. Persons interested in becoming a Management Committee member are invited to nominate for a position prior to the MICDA Inc Annual General Meeting, which is held in September annually.
Advisory Committees meet monthly and provide direction to the individual program coordinators who deliver programs and services to the community. Persons interested in becoming an Advisory Committee member are invited to make contact with MICDA Inc to discuss available options.
General Volunteers can assist program coordinators deliver program outcomes. General Volunteers are invited to apply in person at the MICDA Inc offices, Old Court House, Isa Street. General Volunteers may be required to possess a current Blue Card as part of their volunteer employment conditions. MICDA Inc can assist volunteers apply for a Blue Card.
